The Ninth International Workshop on Tau-Lepton Physics, Tau06, was held in Pisa down-town, inside Palazzo del Castelletto, a renovated old building owned by Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, from September 19 to 22, 2006. This is the ninth of a series of bi-yearly workshops devoted to the physics of the tau lepton and its associated neutrino. The first workshop was held in Orsay, France (1990), and the following ones were held in Columbus, Ohio, USA (1992), Montreux, Switzerland (1994), Estes Park, Colorado, USA (1996), Santander, Spain (1998), Victoria, Canada (2000), Santa Cruz, California, USA (2002) and Nara, Japan (2004). There were 62 registered participants attending 54 talks, which reported results, reviews and prospects covering most of tau physics and three adjacent topics: Lepton Flavour Violation, muon g − 2 (Standard Model prediction and experimental measurement), and Neutrino Physics.
