Politica ontologica e disuguaglianze ecologiche

What sense does it make to speak of 'ontological politics' and what connection is there with ecological inequalities, climate first and foremost, but not only? The answer to the first question is that while it is true that politics has always been about influencing the state of things, it is also true that the constituent elements of reality were traditionally understood as data. The emerging question, on the other hand, is that these very elements increasingly come into play in political conflict. The essay focuses on this issue and its connection to inequality. Ecological problems do not present themselves in the same way for everyone and the answers given are not equally favourable, or unfavourable, for everyone.

Che senso ha parlare di “politica ontologica” e che nesso c’è con le disuguaglianze ecologiche, climatiche innanzitutto, ma non solo? La risposta alla prima domanda è che, se è vero che la politica è sempre stata volta a influire sullo stato delle cose, è anche vero che gli elementi costitutivi della realtà erano tradizionalmente intesi come dati. La questione emergente, è invece che nel conflitto politico entrano sempre più in gioco proprio tali elementi. Il saggio si sofferma sulla questione e sul nesso che essa intrattiene con le disuguaglianze. Le problematiche ecologiche non si presentano alla stessa maniera per tutti e le risposte che si danno non sono egualmente favorevoli, o sfavorevoli, per tutti.
