This essay intends to show how the discovery of the infinite deeply modified, in Bruno’s philosophy, his conception of the ways and forms of access to Truth. In particular, this essay stresses the importance of Will, i.e. Passion, which is an essential driving force in the process of understanding. In this framework, textual criticism is employed to illustrate Bruno’s constant meditation on this point, which is also reflected in textual evidence in the first edition of the Eroici furori.
