This paper is an inquiry on Judith Butler's reshaping of Antigone's image. According to the so-called Queer Theory, Antigone represents the unspekable paradox of kinship. How usefull could this perspective be on the interpretation of Sophocles' tragedy in the historical and anthropological context of the city in the V century b. C.?
