Abstract

The radiation of a quantum cascade laser (QCL) at 2.8 THz is detected using the transmitted photon momentum to drive a quartz tuning fork. The radiation is modulated and focused onto the side of one prong giving rise to a driven oscillation of the tuning fork which is measured using the generated piezo current.
