Zeus wants to be the only custodian of the τέχνη. In the solitude that precedes metaphysics, Prometheus witnesses the construction of a bridge that unites two worlds: mortals take possession of the power of the gods. When Zeus condemns Prometheus, mortals now exercise the will to power on earth. Only with the rational government of Aristotle did poetry and rhetoric fall within the human activities aimed at achieving a complete form, imitating the process of natural generation. Presenting tragedy and poetry in general as nature’s μίμησις. The same genealogy is reflected in the comedy «The Tempest» (1613).
