Recent studies investigate the cultural policies of the kings of Bithynia. They focus on donations to Greek sanctuaries, coinage and foundation of poleis and negect the patronage of arts, in particular, the support to poets, historians and scholars, whose works constituted the Bithynian court literature. This paper aims to detect traces of this literature in the local tradition on Bithynia and to highlight the contribution of this evidence to the understanding of the cultural policies of the kings of Bithynia

Abstract
