The paper analyses S-unit points on analytic hypersurfaces. Some degeneracy theorems are obtained confinining the points to algebraic asubgroups and structure theorems are obtained for the algebraic subgroups contained in these hypersurfaces. Applications are given to S-unit points on algebraic varieties. For instance the finiteness of squares of the shape u_1^n+....u_r^n (u_1,...,u_r given integers) is obtained under suitable necessary conditions.
