Emergenze ambientali e politica del tempo

The paper deals with the issue of environmental emergencies from the vantage point of the politics of time – the way of governing the future by anticipating it in the present. The notion of emergency is addressed first, followed by the specific understanding of environmental emergencies characterizing late modernity. Different anticipatory approaches are subsequently discussed, the attention focusing especially on preparedness, as characterised by significant peculiarities amenable to different interpretations.
