The article analyses the use of various power resources by different actors intervening during protest campaigns against extreme forms of labour exploitation, particularly in the logistics sector. Building on an approach to power resources that links studies on social movements with those on industrial relations, and framing workers’ actions within recognition struggles, the study considers the mobilisations that took place at Mondo Convenienza, particularly in Campi Bisenzio (Fi). The research shows how different power resources were activated thanks to the intervention of different types of trade unions, but also of different subjects such as social movement organisations, civil society associations, and local institutions. In particular, and in line with the research on new labour conflicts linked first and foremost to recognition, the importance of solidarity resources mobilised on the territory emerges.

Abstract
The article analyses the use of various power resources by different actors intervening during protest campaigns against extreme forms of labour exploitation, particularly in the logistics sector. Building on an approach to power resources that links studies on social movements with those on industrial relations, and framing workers’ actions within recognition struggles, the study considers the mobilisations that took place at Mondo Convenienza, particularly in Campi Bisenzio (Fi). The research shows how different power resources were activated thanks to the intervention of different types of trade unions, but also of different subjects such as social movement organisations, civil society associations, and local institutions. In particular, and in line with the research on new labour conflicts linked first and foremost to recognition, the importance of solidarity resources mobilised on the territory emerges.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
