IG XII 7, 509 is a stele kept in the Archaeological Museum of Amorgos and is the only known inscription from Herakleia. The text preserves the last part of a decree aimed at prohibiting the introduction and breeding of goats on the island. The paper presents a revision of the text after the autopsy in July 2023 (with a reconsideration of the restorations at ll. 0-1 and a proposal of a new one for l. 17), a line-by-line commentary and a photograph of the inscription.
