The paper proves new results on integral points on certain rational surfaces. For the first time an example is given of a simply connected surface with degenerate set of integral points over any number field. Applications are given to integral values of certain rational functions. The methods follow those developed by the authors in a previous paper (On integral points on surfaces, Annals Math. 2004)
