This talk is centred on two fundamental concepts of Bruno’s philosophy: shadow and Infinite. These two ideas are deeply entangled in his ontology, which is the source of both his idea of infinite worlds and universe, and his idea of man as a finite being absolutely disproportioned to God’s infinity. From this idea originates the notion of the itinerarium mentis ad deum as depicted by Bruno in the Eroici furori.

Abstract
This talk is centred on two fundamental concepts of Bruno’s philosophy: shadow and Infinite. These two ideas are deeply entangled in his ontology, which is the source of both his idea of infinite worlds and universe, and his idea of man as a finite being absolutely disproportioned to God’s infinity. From this idea originates the notion of the itinerarium mentis ad deum as depicted by Bruno in the Eroici furori.File in questo prodotto:
