Diseguaglianze: le ragioni del loro aumento, le politiche che mancano

The nature and extent of economic inequality in Italy is investigated in the article, identifying the four ‘engines’ driving the unprecedented rise in disparities. The policies that could address such problems are discussed, with detailed proposals for public action. They are set in the context of widely shared values and objectives, from those of Italy’s Constitution to the current UN sustainable development goals, where equality is stated as a major policy goal.
