Abstract
(EN) This article examines the structure and the context of chapter 12 of the first book of Dante’s Monarchia, showing that philosophical authorities are globally predominant in the work, and in particular in this section. The famous parenthesis sicut in Paradiso Comedie iam dixi(Mn I XII 6) seems therefore incompatible with its immediate context. This incompatibility is strengthened by some doctrinal argumentations linked with Dante’s theory of free will and human happiness.File in questo prodotto:
